The Department of Marketing prepares students to excel in today’s competitive business environment through a blend of academic rigor and real-world application. The curriculum spans key areas including advertising, consumer behavior, marketing research, sales management, international marketing, and digital and social media marketing, allowing students to build both breadth and specialization.
Students strengthen their communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills by developing marketing plans, engaging in team-based projects, and participating in case competitions with corporate and nonprofit partners. A required internship ensures hands-on experience, bridging theory and practice while exposing students to real business challenges.
Through industry engagement, guest speakers, and alumni interaction, students gain valuable insights and professional networks. Additionally, opportunities to earn certifications such as Google Analytics and Amazon Ads provide a competitive edge.

Marketing Minor Requirements
The minor in Marketing requires eighteen (18) semester hours of courses in the Marketing (MKT) Program.
