Prospective students with strong high school profiles are encouraged to apply early to Hampton University for the greatest opportunity for scholarship support. To complement university scholarships, the JTG School of Business awards scholarships to continuing students on an ongoing basis.

Does the JTG School of Business offer Scholarships to incoming freshmen?

From time to time, the school may do a scholarship raffle during a signature event such as Admitted Students Day, High School Day, Pre-College, etc… Our scholarships are often funded by corporate donors and friends of the school who are intentional about supporting students who have demonstrated a commitment to study business. We encourage students to apply for scholarships after the Fall semester of freshman year.

There is a combination of merit and need based scholarship opportunity. We award corporate sponsored, endowed, and grant related scholarships.

Yes, through external scholarships, competitive case or pitch competitions, paid internships, university approved work study or graduate assistantship, when available.

No, scholarships are awarded to business majors only.

Scholarships

1. The Licensing International Scholarship Program

Description: awards grants funding to deserving individuals who are interested in a career in brand licensing seeking education in business, e-commerce, marketing, design, engineering, entrepreneurial studies and other brand licensing industry-related programs.

Deadline: January 30, 2026

2. Costco Employee Scholarship

Description: The Costco Employee Scholarship is designed for regular part-time and full-time employees in the U.S. who meet the eligibility criteria. It offers financial assistance to those pursuing higher education.

Deadline: February 6th 2026

3. AWS James A Turner Jr Memorial Scholarship

Description: The James A. Turner, Jr. Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to a full-time student pursuing a minimum four-year Bachelors of Business Degree that will lead to a management career in welding store operations or a welding distributorship. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a minimum high school diploma. Applicants must be employed at least 10 hours a week at a welding distributorship at the time the application is submitted.

4. Virginia Commonwealth Award Program

Description: The purpose of the Virginia Commonwealth Award is to assist undergraduate students with financial need and graduate students to pay part of their college costs. The funds are appropriated directly to each state-supported institution.

Deadline: March 6, 2026

5. David R. Parsley Scholarship Fund for Supply Chain Management

Description: Created to encourage students to pursue foodservice supply chain management careers, the David R. Parsley Scholarship offers undergraduate students scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $10,000. Students should apply January through March. Ideal candidates should be pursuing a post-secondary degree in the restaurant, foodservice and hospitality industry, as well as for similar awards.

6. McDonald's TMCF Black & Positively Golden Scholarship

Description: The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and McDonald’s are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Scholars will be selected to receive a scholarship for the upcoming academic school year, which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees.

Eligibility: 

  • Be enrolled full-time as an undergraduate freshman, sophomore, junior or senior attending HBCU during the coming academic school year.
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 2.7 or higher.
  • Able to demonstrate leadership abilities.
  • Able to demonstrate a financial need.
  • Be a U.S. Citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551

7. Enterprise Access HBCC Scholarship

Scholarship Overview: The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) and the Enterprise Mobility Foundation are proud to offer financial assistance to outstanding students attending TMCF’s member schools that include publicly supported historically Black community colleges (HBCCs). Thirty-four HBCC scholars will be selected to receive a need-based scholarship of up to $1,500 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The total eligible scholarship amount will be allocated in one installment during the fall 2026 semester (which can only be applied to verifiable costs associated with average tuition and usual fees).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Be a full-time enrolled student at a TMCF HBCC member school during the 2026-2027 academic year
  • Open to all majors
  • Current cumulative grade point average of 2.75 or higher
  • Must have the 2026-2027 FAFSA on file at your selected university/college by the time of selection
  • Must be able to demonstrate a financial need
  • Be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident with a valid permanent resident card or passport stamped I-551

8. Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation

Scholarship Description: The Shawn Carter Scholarship Fund attracts candidates from all backgrounds and each has a compelling desire to pursue higher education, in spite of many personal, socio-economic setbacks, including teen pregnancy, former incarceration, interrupted schooling, poverty, and homelessness. They are hardworking, resilient and determined individuals who want to make positive contributions to their local and global communities, and they turn to SCF to help make their ambitions and dreams possible.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must be pursuing a first undergraduate degree
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.0
  • Household income must not exceed $75,000
  • Must be 25 years old or younger

9. ASM Global Stars Scholarship Program

Area of study: Business/International Business (Marketing, Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources) • Hospitality/Entertainment/Sports Management • Culinary Arts • Communications/Public Relations/Digital Media • Information Technology • Graphic Design

10. KMF Foundation Professional Excellence Scholarship

Scholarship Description: The KMF Professional Excellence Scholarship Program offers up to $15,000 over two years to support driven college juniors and seniors pursuing careers in business, computer science, artificial intelligence, or data science. The program is designed for high-achieving students from less-privileged backgrounds who demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to personal and professional growth. In addition to financial assistance, recipients gain access to a robust curriculum focused on real-world experience, performance excellence, and long-term career success. Through mentorship and shared learning, KMF fosters a powerful community of future leaders and innovators.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Incoming college juniors or seniors from less-privileged backgrounds
  • Must demonstrate maturity, ambition, high academic achievement, and an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Career goals aligned with business, computer science, artificial intelligence, or data science
  • Open to students in any U.S. college or university

11. ELC Scholarship Program

Scholarship Description: The Executive Leadership Council (The ELC) is committed to building a pipeline of corporate talent by supporting the academic achievement and development of college students.
