Mind and Body Connection

The Mind Body Connection at the Student Counseling Center (SCC) of Hampton University is a space that bridges the gap between the physical and mental emotions. It acknowledges and supports the mental health aspects that come along with: health diagnoses, surgeries, injuries, and disabilities. This realm of therapy also explores factors that impact both the mind and the body, what happens as a result, who it affects, why it matters, and ways in which to cope and discuss.

Resources include Ms. Brockington who is the Mind-Body Connection therapist at the SCC, the Student Health Center, the Office of Compliance and Disability Services, the Virginia Department of Health, and Minority AIDS Support Services (MASS). Specific links to these resources are listed below.
