Hampton University has announced the launch of Hampton LEADs — the Leadership Excellence Advancement and Development initiative — a bold, two-year effort to cultivate confident, capable leaders ready to drive positive change in their communities and industries.

The initiative engages students, faculty, and alumni in a dynamic ecosystem of mentorship, experiential learning, and professional growth. Graduate students will receive personalized guidance through mentorship opportunities, while faculty will participate in targeted career development training and a newly established Faculty Leadership Academy. The program also introduces a Student Leadership Certificate Program, a Leadership Podcast Series spotlighting diverse voices in leadership, and an annual Leadership Summit designed to convene innovators across sectors.
“Hampton LEADs is about creating a sustainable pipeline of leaders who are prepared not only to excel in their careers but to lead with purpose and impact,” said Dr. Jessica Sullivan, Co-Principal Investigator. “We want every participant—student, faculty, and mentor alike—to see leadership as a calling to serve and to elevate others.”
Through Hampton LEADs, Hampton University reaffirms its commitment to fostering excellence, character, and service—the true hallmarks of a Hampton leader.
