The Hampton University Workforce Development Enterprise (WDE) provides short-term training programs, certifications, and skill-based courses designed to prepare individuals for immediate employment in high-demand trades and healthcare roles.
Our programs include training in HVAC technology, welding, propane systems, and healthcare (CNA). We offer flexible scheduling with both day and evening classes to accommodate working adults.
HVAC 1000 – HVAC Core Curriculum
Foundation training in blueprint reading, mechanical systems, and HVAC basics.
HVAC 1001 – HVAC Level 1
Introduction to heating, ventilation, air conditioning fundamentals.
WELD 2001 – SMAW Welding I & II
Shielded Metal Arc Welding certification preparation.
WELD 2002 – GMAW Welding
Gas Metal Arc Welding techniques and certification.
PROP 3001 – Propane Technology
Installation, maintenance, and safety for propane distribution systems.
HLTH 4001 – Certified Nurse Aide (CNA)
Entry-level patient care training with clinical rotations.
HLTH 4002 – Advanced CNA
Advanced skills in leadership, restorative care, and wound care.
