International Students Application Requirements

  • Completed Common App Application
  • $60 Application Fee
  • Official High School Transcript
  • Official College/University Transcript(s)
  • Proof of English Language Proficiency
  • Official SAT or ACT Scores

Applicants must demonstrate completion of an educational program equivalent to a U.S. high school diploma.

Academic records submitted in a language other than English must be accompanied by an official English translation. Students educated outside the United States may be required to submit a credential evaluation through an approved evaluation service.

Applicants from West African countries should submit the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or General Certificate of Education (GCE) results, including qualifying examination results. 

English Language Proficiency
International applicants whose first language is not English may satisfy Hampton University’s English proficiency requirement by submitting one of the following:

  • TOEFL
  • Sat or ACT
  • Duolingo Test
  • 1-20 Requirements

Form I-20 Requirements:
After admission, Hampton University will issue a Form I-20 once all required enrollment documentation has been received. Required documentation includes:

  • Verification of sufficient financial support to cover educational expenses, or
  • Documentation from a qualified financial sponsor demonstrating responsibility for these costs.
