Applying to the PharmD Program

Application Instructions

Step 1:

Go to PharmCAS for instructions. Complete the application with the following components:

  • Official transcript(s) from ALL colleges/universities attended. Students who complete courses during the summer before the fall admission must submit transcripts at the conclusion of the course.
  • Personal Statement (maximum of one page typed and single spaced)
  • Resume (https://owl.purdue.edu/)
  • If a pharmacy school/college has been previously attended, a letter from the dean of the school/college of pharmacy indicating your status in that pharmacy program.
  • Two (2) Letters of Recommendation submitted to PharmCAS via the “Letters by Liaison” Evaluator Portal.*

Submit the PharmCAS application. Complete the Hampton University Undergraduate Application and pay the $50 non-refundable application fee.+

*One letter should be from a pharmacist/healthcare professional or employer and one from a science/math professor.  If you are unable to secure a recommendation from a healthcare professional or employer, a letter from a faculty member or volunteer coordinator is acceptable.

Step 2:

Complete prerequisite coursework with a grade of “C” or higher (“C-” is not acceptable).

Note: All pre-requisite courses must be completed by the end of the Summer 2024 semester. Students will not be permitted to matriculate into the PharmD Program in Fall 2024 unless all admission requirements are met.
