Welcome to the Hampton University School of Science, a place where curiosity is celebrated, discovery is pursued with purpose, and the next generation of world-changing scientists is being shaped every day.
I am deeply honored to serve as your dean, and I want to say clearly from the outset: you belong here!
Science has always been an act of courage. It asks us to question what we think we know, to sit with uncertainty, and to press forward anyway. That spirit lives throughout Hampton and especially in the School of Science, in our laboratories, our classrooms, and in the remarkable students who arrive each year, daring to imagine a future that doesn’t yet exist.
Spanning nine departments and supported by research partnerships with NASA, NIH, NSF, Jefferson Labs, and the Department of Defense, our School offers one of the most comprehensive science programs in the country. But what truly differentiates us is not just what we do, it is who we serve. We are passionately committed to increasing the number of scientists to reflect the full diversity of the world, and we take that mission seriously in everything we create.
To our students: dream boldly, ask hard questions, and know that you are exactly who science has been waiting for.
