Frederick D. Inge (FDI) Biology Club
The Frederick D. Inge Biology Club is open to all biology majors. This organization seeks to:
- Create a sense of unity among students majoring in the biological sciences;
- Stimulate high scholarship;
- Promote the distribution of biological knowledge through seminars, visiting lectures, and visits to other institutions;
- Inform students of career options and job opportunities open in the field of biology.
Open to undergraduates in all Biological Sciences majors.

International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP)
The mission of IOMP is to improve healthcare by promoting the advancement of medical physics education, science, and practice worldwide.
Materials Research Society (MRS)
Since 1973, Materials Research Society (MRS) has focused on the big picture—providing an intellectual home for big ideas and big discoveries with big impact across our global field. Rather than approaching materials research through a narrow lens, MRS takes a wide-angle view of our multidisciplinary landscape, uniting materials researchers from academia, national laboratories, and industry across specialties—all of whom play a role in advancing our global field and quality of life.

Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS)
The Minority Association of Pre-Health Students (MAPS) supports and uplifts underrepresented students interested in any health-related field not just medicine. MAPS is for students exploring careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, public health, physician assistant studies, and other health professions. Ultimately, helping members become successful candidates for professional health and medical programs.
What MAPS can do for you:
The main goals of this organization includes:
- Guiding students to identify careers in medicine that align with their aspirations.
- Mentoring students to develop a plan for their future health related careers.
- Offering opportunities to strengthen the student’s profile via community service opportunities, internships, and clinical activities
- Building a support group of pre-health scholars at Hampton University
You’ll get to participate in:
- Mock Interviews, Resume Building, Mapping out the Pre-Health Route
- Talks with Admissions Officers (Ex., EVMS, Dartmouth)
- MCAT, DAT, NCLEX Preparation/Games
- End of the Year/Christmas Parties, Thanksgiving Potluck
- Community Service Projects and Volunteering Opportunities
- Hands on CPR Training and Specialty Events
