International Student Friendsgiving

November 25th, 2024 the International Office hosted International Student Friendsgiving. The event is a banquet and jovial environment featuring classic American music throughout the ages to simulate the familial vibe natural to an American Thanksgiving celebrated by families.

Friendsgiving is an important supplement for International Students as international students are not able to celebrate the holiday with their families, due to distance from home and the expense of traveling home. Many students do not return home until after they graduate

This dinner elicits feelings of the American welcome, care and hospitality. All in all, Hampton University is happy to serve as the home by the sea to our International Student this Thanksgiving.
