installment Payment Plan Option

The Hampton University Installment Payment Plan (HIPP) is offered for the Fall and Spring terms only to help satisfy payment requirements by the appropriate fee payment deadline listed on the Student Business Services calendar. 

In order to be enrolled in the Installment Payment Plan, you will need to complete the application, accept the terms and conditions for the plan and submit your $50.00 non-refundable enrollment fee plan.   

FALL SEMESTER Installment Payment Plans (IPP) will open in July with the initial installment due on August 1st and the remaining installment payments due September 1, October 1, and November 1. 

SPRING SEMESTER Installment Payment Plans (IPP) will open in December with the initial installment due on January 1st and the remaining installment payments due February 1, March 1 and April 1. 

Participants in this plan must apply all discounts, waivers, third party sponsor payments (such as employer and pre-paid tuition programs) and financial aid, including student loans, toward payment of registration fees before a payment plan will be considered. Financial Aid and other credits received after the initial payment will be applied to the remaining balance, and future amounts due will be recalculated. No refunds can be made until all fees are paid in full. 

         Follow these steps to sign up for the Installment Payment Plan: 

  1. Log into your HU NET ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES (https://mycampus.hamptonu.edu/HAMPTON-UNIVERSITY/Pre-Login)  
  1. Click on “STUDENT SECURED LOG IN”
  2. ENTER YOUR STUDENT USER ID 
  3. ENTER YOUR PIN   
  4. Click “Login” 
  5. “Forgot PIN? Assistance is provided 
  6. MAIN MENU – Click on “STUDENT” to review and selection student business options 
  7. STUDENT MENU – Click on “STUDENT ACCOUNT” for student business related options 
  8. STUDENT ACCOUNT MENU – Click On “Student Account – PiratePay Portal 
  9. Click on “Enter PiratePay Portal” to review and selection student business options  
  10. Go to Payment Plans and click the Enroll Now button. 
  11. Follow the prompts to complete enrollment 
  12. Select “Term” in the drop-down menu, Click Select 
  13. Click Select on the available payment plan 
  14. Review eligible charges and credits and the anticipated payment schedule (the amount showing under the description “Anticipated Aid/ Sch” will be the amount of financial aid included in the initial enrollment of your payment plan) 
  15. Select how you would like to make your remaining installment payments (automatic or by logging in manually for each installment), Select Continue 
  16. Review your amount to be paid and select your payment method, Select continue 
  17. Review your payment plan agreement – Click “I agree to the terms & conditions” – Select Continue 
  18. You will then receive confirmation of your enrollment in the Installment Payment Plan
