Ed Reams is the General Manager, News Director for WTKR-News3, the CBS-TV affiliate station in Norfolk, Virginia owned and operated by the E.W. Scripps Company.
Ed is a Norfolk native and joined WTKR in July 2024, bringing over 30 years of experience in news and television management to the station. Prior to returning home to Hampton Roads, Ed worked for 13 years in the Midwest, serving as Vice President / General Manager at WREX – TV in Rockford, Illinois News Director at WKOW – TV in Madison, Wisconsin, and Assistant News Director at WISN – TV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He began his career in news management as News Director for WHSV – TV in Harrisonburg, Virginia in 2006.
Before his management roles, Ed was an anchor and reporter at WDSU in New Orleans for eight years and was part of the team covering Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. Ed has also worked on-air throughout the southeast at TV stations in Atlanta, GA, Raleigh, NC and Roanoke, VA.  He is a graduate of Radford University in Radford, VA with a BA degree in Journalism – Public relations and is currently seeking his MBA from Radford. Ed also currently serves on the advisory board for Radford’s College of Humanities and Behavioral Sciences.
