Vice President for Advancement and External Engagement

The Office of Development is responsible for the University’s fundraising efforts. As the fundraising and development arm of Hampton University, the Office enhances public understanding and recognition of the University through a variety of activities and events which generate support for the institution’s academic programs, annual giving, scholarship initiatives, special and capital projects and the endowment. The office is responsible for building acceptance and partnerships for the University among its related publics, such as corporations, foundations, organizations and friends of the University, and cultivating these constituent groups to obtain private financial resources.

The Office promotes a heighten awareness of Hampton University’s unique brand to key publics in the domestic and global markets through creative and quality communications. The Office provides support, expertise and leadership designed to:

• Promote partnerships and collaborative ventures with strategic partners.
• Develop programs and benefits that strengthen alumni ties and encourage lifelong support.
• Involve supporters and friends in the life of the University through special events
