Student Health Center

Services

Hampton University’s Health Center provides an array of healthcare services to active, enrolled students. Students have several avenues to contact and/or secure appointments with HU’s medical professional team. Services provided involve evaluation and treating of generalized, specialized, and urgent (minor care) medical matters associated with the college-age population.

  • Examples, but not limited to: Respiratory infections, strep throat, mononucleosis, urinary tract infections, blood pressure readings, referral assistance, laboratory tests (some tests are done on site; some are sent to an outside lab), health education, medical leave of absence consultations, and management of Workmen’s Compensation injuries for authorized employees.

Primary (preventative care regarding illness), secondary (treatment regarding illness), tertiary (management regarding illness), and quaternary (advanced level of specialized care regarding illness) care may also be addressed and/or referred out with assistance of HU’s board certified, licensed healthcare clinicians, as well.
