Dr. Aline Xavier de Araujo

Aline Xavier de Araujo is Assistant Professor and Director of Global Languages at Hampton University. She holds a Ph.D. in Spanish and Portuguese from Indiana University, where she completed her dissertation titled “From Site-Specific to Immersive Performance: Space and Audience in Experimental Lusophone and Hispanic Theater.” Her research examines how contemporary Latin American performance groups reshape the relationship between performers and audiences through innovative uses of space.
