Dr. Tamara Williams

Biography

Dr. Tamara M.B. Williams is a strong advocate for psychological wellbeing. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Spelman College, as well as a Master’s and Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Williams is a relationship expert, counselor, life-coach, business owner, and motivational speaker. She has extensive experience working with children, families, alternative education, day treatment programs, community mental health, special education and incarcerated felons. Her motto is that “if we can get our minds right, then our lives WILL follow.” Additionally, Dr. Williams is the author of psychology text “The Science of Psychology: An Introduction” and has presented a wide range of mental health awareness and psychological well-being concepts to multiple organizations and institutions. You can join Dr. Williams every Sunday at 1pm on WHOV Smooth 88.1 as she co-hosts the radio show “Sunday Brunch.” As the Coordinator for the Marriage and Family Track, she is responsible for structuring the required courses as well as maintaining their effectiveness in introducing students to topics related to understanding the nuances and the current research surrounding marriages and families.
