Hampton University is proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of senior theatre major Erik Hamilton, who stars in the national tour of Broadway’s Tony Award-winning MJ the Musical. Hamilton, a gifted performer from Lorton, Va., portrays Michael Jackson during his late teens and early 20s in the highly-acclaimed production, which is currently making its six-day stop at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk.

Hampton University is proud to announce that Dr. Kristie Norwood, director of the Hampton University Counseling Center, has received the prestigious Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. This distinguished honor, presented under the auspices of Points of Light and the School of the Great Commission Education Foundation, recognizes Dr. Norwood’s extraordinary commitment to service, including over 5,000 hours of volunteer work benefiting the United States of America.
