About Us
Hampton University (HU) Drug Information Center (DIC) is an academic program of the School of Pharmacy that is a resource center for healthcare professionals, citizens, patients and caregivers in the Hampton Roads area.
The mission of the Drug Information Center (DIC) is to enhance the quality of health, wellness and pharmaceutical care on Virginia’s Peninsula. To accomplish this goal, we are committed to providing exceptional integrated drug information training to pharmacy students and support local health care practitioners.
The Hampton University (HU) student will gain practical knowledge and experience in the area of drug literature retrieval, analysis, evaluation, and application. The drug information center addresses the healthcare needs of the community by providing FREE drug and health information to faculty, staff, students, affiliated healthcare providers and ancillary programs and members of the Hampton University family, friends and the local community.
The Drug Information Center (DIC) is managed by Miranda Hill, Pharm.D., J.D. who is a registered pharmacist and staffed by other licensed pharmacist and advanced college of pharmacy students.
The Drug Information Center is located at 1040-C Hampton Harbors, School of Pharmacy Annex. Hours of operation are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Phone: (757)728-6694.
