Dr. Deanna Edwards

Dr. Deanna Edwards is a certified athletic and personal trainer with expertise in injury prevention, rehabilitation, and wellness education. She holds a PhD in Athletic Training from Temple University, an MS in Athletic Training from Florida International University, and a BS in Kinesiology from Georgia Southern University. Her academic and clinical experience demonstrate a sustained commitment to preparing students for ethical and effective allied health practice.

Before joining Hampton University, Dr. Edwards taught sports medicine in Hampton City Schools, where she designed and implemented a comprehensive athletic training curriculum. In this capacity, she prepared students for national certification examinations and ensured the development of essential professional competencies.
