1LT Kalin Webster currently serves as a Military Science Instructor and incoming Patton Intern with the Hampton University Army ROTC Program. Originally from Richmond, California, he earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Benedict College. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America.
Introduced to ROTC by his mentor, CASA Mark Benton, LT Webster completed ROTC training at the University of South Carolina, where he later commissioned as an Armor Officer, branch detailed Adjutant General (AG). His first assignment was with the 1st Battalion, 66th Armor Regiment at Fort Carson, Colorado, where he served as a Tank Platoon Leader and later as the Assistant Battalion S-1. During his time as a platoon leader, his unit excelled at Gunnery, Live Fire Exercises, and National Training Center rotations—earning recognition as one of the most lethal companies in the brigade. His platoon also maintained the highest Army Combat Fitness Test average in the battalion.
At Hampton University, LT Webster serves as the Color Guard Officer-in-Charge (OIC), Army Ten-Miler OIC, Human Resources Administrator (HRA), and MS1 Instructor, directly mentoring first-year cadets in the foundations of Army leadership. He is preparing to transition fully into the Adjutant General Corps, aligning his career path with a focus on organizational leadership, personnel management, and Soldier readiness.
