Dr. Sherree Davis

Assistant Professor

Biography

Dr. Sherree Davis is the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs for the School of Liberal Arts and Education at Hampton University and has previously served as chair for the department of sociology. Dr. Davis has more than 15 years of experience in the field of criminal justice in addition to her years of experience in higher education. She is a proud alum of Hampton University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with emphasis on Criminal Justice. Dr. Davis received both her master’s and doctorate degrees from The George Washington University in DC.

Her research has focused on crisis intervention of university students experiencing mental health concerns, the pedagogical impact of online education, juvenile justice and community corrections. Dr. Davis has served on several boards and community and civic organizations and is passionate about pouring into her students. She most recently participated on the Women in Criminal Leadership panel hosted by the department of Sociology, Criminal Justice, Sociology and Homeland Security.
