Linda M. Brown, BSN, RN, is a seasoned nurse and educator with more than 30 years of experience in nursing practice, education, and leadership. As an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Hampton University, Ms. Brown combines her extensive clinical expertise and academic knowledge to prepare the next generation of nursing professionals. Her career has encompassed a wide range of healthcare environments, including medical-surgical units, telemetry, cardiac care, and clinical coordination, which has shaped her dynamic and inclusive approach to teaching.

Ms. Brown earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Grambling State University and holds a Registered Nurse Compact License. She is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and is recognized as an ATI Champion. Prior to joining Hampton University, she served as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Louisiana Delta Community College, where she led initiatives to enhance nursing education through curriculum development, innovative teaching methods, and simulation lab redesign. She also played a critical role in accreditation processes, faculty mentoring, and student advising.

Throughout her career, Ms. Brown has held leadership roles, including Director of Nursing and Nurse Manager, and has gained significant expertise in patient care, team leadership, and healthcare management. Her contributions to nursing education and practice have been recognized with the 2023 Accent on Excellence Education Award from the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. She is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and participated in the inaugural Leadership in Faculty Training (LIFT) Program, reflecting her commitment to professional growth and excellence in academia.

At Hampton University, Ms. Brown is passionate about fostering partnerships with local healthcare facilities, expanding service-learning opportunities, and equipping students with the skills and confidence needed to succeed in diverse healthcare settings. Her areas of expertise include clinical coordination, simulation lab management, medical-surgical and telemetry nursing, faculty development, and curriculum design. She is dedicated to empowering her students to become compassionate, competent, and innovative leaders in nursing practice.
