A. Parking/Moving Violation Fines

  • Altered Permit – $50
  • False Registration – $100
  • Handicap Parking – $200
  • Improper Commuter Parking – $10
  • License Plate not registered – $50
  • No Current Parking Decal – TBA
  • Obstructing Traffic – $20
  • Parked in Wheel Lock Zone (parked outside of your assigned area) – $50
  • Parking Overtime – $20
  • Prohibited Parking – $50
  • Unauthorized Use of Decal – $100
  • Unauthorized Use of Handicap Permit – $200
  • Expired State Inspection/Vehicle Registration – $25
  • Failure to properly affix decals to vehicle – $25
  • Reckless Driving – $25
  • Failure to stop at a stop sign – $25
  • Speeding – $25
  • No operator license in possession – $25
  • Failure to comply with instructions of University Police – $50
  • Loud Music – $25

All fines are to be paid online through the online citation payment site.  All fines and fees are subject to change without notification.

B. Appeals

Any person who feels a violation or parking citation issued in error by a University Officer may complete a ‘Violation Appeals Form’ within seven days from the date of the citation. Appearance is not mandatory at the Traffic Appeals Board hearing. A person may let their written appeal stand on its own merit or they may appear before the Board.

C. Towing

The following vehicles are eligible for towing:

  • Unregistered vehicle
  • Those parked in Faculty/Staff areas between 7:00a.m. and 5:00p.m.
  • Those creating a traffic hazard or blocking other vehicles
  • Three or more unpaid University traffic citations

Vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense.

D. Abandoned Vehicles

Vehicles that have been left unauthorized for a period in excess of 30 days and show no signs of being used, will be considered abandoned. The owner will be notified to remove such vehicle from the University.

E. Vehicle Immobilizers

Immobilizers will be used to aid in the enforcement of motor vehicle traffic rules and regulations. The immobilizers cause no damage to cars but make them immobile.

A fee of fifty ($50.00) dollars is charged for removal of the immobilizer.

All immobilizer fees must be paid before it can be removed from the vehicle.

A fine of $100.00 plus loss of parking and driving privileges on the campus for the remainder of the school year will be levied for the unauthorized removal of the immobilizer.

If fines are not paid and immobilizer are not removed within 24 hours, the vehicle will be towed off campus at owner’s expense.
