Edna Greene Medford

Edna Greene Medford is a respected historian specializing in African American history, particularly the era of slavery and emancipation. She is a member of the board of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Foundation and is on the Executive Committee of the Lincoln Forum. In 2009, she was inducted as a Laureate of The Lincoln Academy of Illinois and awarded the Order of Lincoln (the State’s highest honor) by the Governor of Illinois as a Bicentennial Laureate.
