Efrem Graham is a seasoned media professional. He is an entertainment reporter, host, producer and creator of the Telly Award winning entertainment news magazine Studio 5. He also serves as the host for the show’s companion podcast, Conversations from Studio 5. And he serves as a news anchor and correspondent for the Christian Broadcasting Network.
Efrem has been honored with two Emmy Awards for his work as a television journalist. He prepared for this work by earning his master’s degree from the Columbia University Journalism School. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from New Jersey’s Stockton University.
While entertainment is Efrem’s reporting beat, telling good stories is his passion. That passion has allowed him to report news stories from Haiti, Kenya, Rwanda, Zambia, Romania, and India.
Efrem is also committed to training the next generation of storytellers. He taught mass media, broadcasting and journalism at Chattanooga State Technical Community College and lead the school’s Mass Communication program. He then taught print and broadcast journalism at Bowling Green State University. And he now teaches mass media and broadcast news writing at the Scripps Howard School of Journalism & Communications at Hampton University.
Efrem is also a husband, father and youth pastor. And while he has a full plate on and off the job, he has recently added even more to it. He’s launched his own production company to bring more content to screen, television and digital platforms. And he serves his city as a Commissioner on the Chesapeake Fine Arts Commission and an active member of the city’s Public Arts Committee.
