Sylvia Trent-Adams

Sylvia Trent-Adams is a highly accomplished healthcare leader and public servant. She made history as the first Black woman to serve as Principal Deputy Surgeon General of the United States. Her distinguished career in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps reflects her commitment to advancing public health and health equity. In May 2024, she was appointed as the 13th president of the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, which merged with Saint Joseph’s University.
