Scripps Howard School graduate Daelin Brown has been published in Inside Climate News. Her article titled “In Portsmouth, a Superfund Site Pollutes a Creek, Threatens a Neighborhood and Defies a Quick Fix” details issues with a superfund site in Portsmouth and its effects on those living in the area. The story is a product of the investigative journalism class taught by Professor Lynn Waltz. Contributors for the story include investigative journalism students Tigist Ashaka, Sara Avery, Sherdell Baker, Sydney Broadnax, Kennedy Buck, Raven Harper, Morgan Harris, Noah Hogan, Adoria Jones, Kaden Perkins, Mikayla Roberts, Tenel Robinson, Winston Rogers, Jordan Sheppard, Sydney Shuler, Tyler Simon, Lauren Turman, Ciara White-Sparks, Jordin Wright and Brooklyn Young. Brown is an environmental justice fellow at Inside Climate News based in Philadelphia. In the fall she will be attending Massachusetts Institute of Technology to get her Masters in Science Writing.
