Hampton University Licensure Disclosure Statement

Federal Regulation 34 CFR 668.43(c) requires Hampton University to accurately and clearly disclose information to enrolled and prospective students regarding whether its programs meet educational requirements for licensure in the discipline of their intended practice within the United States and its territories. Hampton University must convey professional licensure disclosure statements to be a participating institution of the National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements (NC-SARA).

The Communicative Sciences and Disorders Program is housed within the Hampton University School of Science and is The Master’s of Arts (M.A.) in Communicative Sciences and Disorders, an education program speech-language pathology [Residential] at Hampton University is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation (CAA) in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), The program meets educational requirements for speech language pathology licensure in 50 U.S. states including the Commonwealth of Virginia; the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Each jurisdiction requires proof of graduation from a CAA-accredited education program and a passing score on the PRAXIS Examination for Speech Language Pathology. The Council for Clinical Certification in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CFCC) is a semi-autonomous credentialing body of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
