Jewel Jones is a communications strategist and a builder with deep expertise in creating impact-driven initiatives that center the power of narrative and storytelling to drive innovation and engagement. She is the founding practice leader for Real Chemistry’s Health Equity & Justice offering where she leads a team of experts who create campaigns and platforms for top healthcare companies which center equity as a business imperative.

In addition to developing campaigns for healthcare companies, in 2020, Jewel co-led a $250k pro-bono investment on behalf of Real Chemistry to support the Black Coalition Against COVID, a convening of more than 40 primarily Black-led organizations which seek to provide trustworthy, science-based information and advocacy to help save Black lives. Jewel’s team generated more than 6 billion in earned media reach for BCAC and led collaborations with the White House, HHS, YouTube, Kaiser Family Foundation, Twitter and many others.

Jewel (Scripps Howard alumna, ’09) serves on the African American Outreach Task Force for the Washington Regional Transplant Community and is on the steward board of the historic Metropolitan A.M.E. Church, where she is the co-founder of The Family Room, a speaker series making contemporary Black leaders accessible to the beloved community. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In 2021, Jewel was named to PRWeek’s 40 Under 40 list. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two sons.
