This is the earliest possible date that you can submit the FAFSA form to the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) (www.fafsa.ed.gov). However, we recommend that you complete your federal tax return for the prior year (if applicable) before filling out this form. If you have not yet filed your return, you can still submit your FAFSA, but you must provide income and tax information. Once you file your tax return, correct any income or tax information that is different from what you initially submitted on your FAFSA. |

Financial Aid Priority Consideration Date:
This is our anticipated date that we will begin processing the FAFSA information received from the Department of Education (ED). Your information must have a valid expected family contribution (EFC) amount calculated by ED before further processing of the application. In most cases, however, the student or the parent forgot to use their respective FSA ID and password (https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/sign-in/landing) to electronically sign the application. Please read the comments on the Student Aid Report and requirements on the HU Net and take the appropriate action accordingly. |
