All housing accommodation requests and required supporting documentation must be submitted to the Office of Access and Learning (formerly Disability Services) by February 6, 2026, for consideration for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Requests received after this deadline are not guaranteed.

Students must also meet the University’s Advance Tuition Payment deadline for housing accommodations to be processed.

February 13, 2026Advance Tuition Payment DueAll students who wish to participate in Housing Selection must submit the $400 Advance Tuition Payment no later than February 13, 2026. This payment is required to gain access to the Housing Selection Portal and to participate in any phase of the process.
March 1-5, 2026ORLH Open House
Location: Resident Halls
Time: 4:00-6:00pm
Tour the continuing student residence halls designated for continuing students from 4:00pm–6:00pm.

1. How do I pay the Advance Tuition Payment?
Payments can be made following the Advanced Tuition Payment Instructions below:
  1. Go to hamptonu.edu
  2. Click Current Students (located under the three bars in the top-right corner)
  3. Scroll down and select Student Life
  4. Click Student Account Payment
  5. Scroll down to Select Payment Item
  6. Continuing Students: select Advance Tuition Payment – Continuing

Note: If you wish to select premium housing (MUF, Orchard, Moton, Hampton Harbor), you must pay your advance tuition deposit, have a $0.00 balance, or be up to date on your payment plan by March 1st.

2. When will Continuing Students Select Housing?

March 19 – April 20, 2026.

3. How will the housing selection phases be conducted?

Housing Selection will be conducted in seven (7) phases.

Each phase opens at 8:00 AM (EST) on the first day and closes at 11:59 PM (EST) on the final day.

PHASE 1: March 19 – March 21Students Remaining in the Same RoomStudents who wish to remain in their current room and who have paid the Advance Tuition Payment by February 13 may select their room during this phase. For PHASE 1, the HamptonU Housing Portal will open beginning at 8:00 AM (EST) on March 19. PHASE 1 will close at 11:59 PM (EST) on March 21.
PHASE 2:
March 22 – March 24
Students Remaining in the Same Building (Different Room)Students who paid their Advance Tuition Payment by February 13 and wish to move to another room within their current building may select during this phase. For PHASE 2, the HamptonU Housing Portal will open beginning at 8:00 AM (EST) on March 22. PHASE 2 will close at 11:59 PM (EST) on March 24.
PHASE 3:
March 25 – March 29
Students with 90 or More Earned CreditsStudents with 90+ credits who have paid the Advance Tuition Payment by February 13 may select during this phase. For PHASE 3, the HamptonU Housing Portal will open beginning at 8:00 AM (EST) on March 25. PHASE 3 will close at 11:59 PM (EST) on March 29.
PHASE 4:
March 30 – April 2
Students with 60–89 Earned CreditsStudents with 60–89 credits who have paid the Advance Tuition Payment by February 13 may select during this phase. For PHASE 4, the HamptonU Housing Portal will open beginning at 8:00 AM (EST) on March 30. PHASE 4 will close at 11:59 PM (EST) on April 2.
PHASE 5:
April 3 – April 7
Students with 30–59 Earned CreditsStudents within the 30–59 credit range who have paid the Advance Tuition Payment by February 13 may select during this phase. For PHASE 5, the HamptonU Housing Portal will open beginning at 8:00 AM (EST) on April 3. PHASE 5 will close at 11:59 PM (EST) on April 7.
PHASE 6:
April 8 – April 11
Students with 0–29 Earned CreditsStudents with 29 or fewer credits who have paid the Advance Tuition Payment by February 13 may select during this phase. For PHASE 6, the HamptonU Housing Portal will open beginning at 8:00 AM (EST) on April 8. PHASE 6 will close at 11:59 PM (EST) on April 11.
PHASE 7:
April 12 – April 20
Open Housing Selection (All Continuing Students)Students who pay the Advance Tuition Payment after February 13 may select during this final phase. The HamptonU Housing Portal will open beginning at 8:00 AM (EST) on April 12. PHASE 7 will close at 11:59 PM (EST) on April 20.
4. Are there Eligibility Criteria for Residence Hall Selection?

Yes, Students planning to select a residence hall assignment for Fall 2026 must meet eligibility requirements based on their Fall 2025 cumulative GPA and earned credits at the time of selection. Residence halls for which you do not meet the minimum criteria will not appear in the Housing Portal.

Note: If you wish to select premium housing (MUF, Orchard, Moton, Hampton Harbor), you must pay your advance tuition deposit, have a $0.00 balance, and be up to date on your payment plan by March 1st.

  • Winona Hall – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • Stone Manor – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • McGrew Towers – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • CEC – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • VC Annex – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • Holly Tree – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • White Hall – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • E.B. Du Bois Hall – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • Modulars – Minimum 2.8 GPA; minimum of 60 earned credits
  • MUF (Honors/Premium) – Minimum 3.0 GPA; minimum of 60 earned credits

MALE HALLS

  • Wilder Hall – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • Holmes Hall – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • RSC – No minimum GPA or credit requirement
  • Orchard Road Hall (Honors/Premium) – 3.0 GPA minimum; 60 earned credits minimum

CO-ED HALLS

  • Moton Hall Suites (Honors/Premium) – 3.0 GPA minimum; no credit requirement
  • Hampton Harbors Apartments (Premium) – 2.8 GPA minimum; 60 earned credits minimum
