Office of Judicial Affairs

The Office of Judicial Affairs partners with campus departments to support student growth through advocacy, accountability, and character development. We help students understand the University’s standards of conduct and empower them to make responsible decisions as members of the Hampton community.

What We Do

Student Advocacy

We ensure students have access to the resources and support they need for a positive and productive learning experience.

Character Development

We promote the four core tenets of the Student Code of Conduct, Respect, Professionalism, Integrity, and Community, to guide students in developing strong personal values and ethical behavior.

Student Empowerment

We help students build confidence in their ability to navigate challenges, make informed decisions, and take ownership of their actions.

Student Code of Conduct & Dress Code

At Hampton University, members of the Hampton Family are called to uphold the core values of Respect, Professionalism, Integrity, and Community by demonstrating maturity, fairness, honesty, and inclusivity both on and off campus. In alignment with these principles, the University’s Code of Conduct and Dress Code work together to promote ethical behavior, personal accountability, and a commitment to excellence. Students are expected to follow university policies and the law, act ethically, and maintain appropriate attire and decorum as essential components of personal development, professional readiness, and campus image. By embracing these standards, individuals contribute to a culture of excellence in all aspects of personal, academic, and professional life.
