In a very special banner event sponsored by the School of Liberal Arts and Education and the Mellon Foundation in support of the 1^st Student Film Organization Film Festival, one of Hollywood’s brightest stars will be coming to the Hampton University campus in Mr. Larenz Tate on Friday, April 21^st at 6:30pm in Holland Hall. The Screen Actors Guild Award winning actor Mr. Tate has been in the film and television industries for over 30 years and starred in such definitive classic and acclaimed films such as Love Jones, Menace II Society, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, the 2006 Academy Award Best Picture winner Crash, Girls Trip, Ray, and the hit TV series Power on the Starz network. 

The event is free and open to the public.
