Hampton, Va. (March 25, 2025) This Women’s History Month, Hampton University proudly presents A Hampton Woman, a compelling series that celebrates the inspiring women whose strength, resilience, and vision continue to shape the university’s future.  

In this second installment, we highlight influential leaders within administration who are driving Hampton forward, including Myra R. Williams ‘83 First Lady of Hampton University, Attorney Faye Hardy Lucas ‘82 Vice President and General Counsel, Joy Jefferson ‘86, Chief of Staff ; Richelle Payne ‘89, Vice President for Strategic Communications and Marketing;  Dr. Barbara Inman ‘96, ‘98, Vice President for Student Success and Enrollment Management; Dr. Betty Stewart, Executive Vice President and Provost;  Dr. Neelam Azad, Vice President for Research; and Evelyn Graham Vice President for Advancement and External Engagement.

Attorney Faye Hardy Lucas ‘82: A Champion of Legal Expertise and Ethical Leadership
