Dr. Liqun Zhang

Dr. Liqun Zhang is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering at Hampton University. Her research integrates computational chemistry, molecular dynamics simulations, and biomolecular engineering to investigate protein-ligand/membrane interactions, and bio-inspired nanomaterials.

Besides possessing diverse teaching and student advising experiences, Dr. Zhang has published extensively in high-impact journals such as Journal of Physical Chemistry B, Communications Chemistry, Biomacromolecules, PLoS One, Polymer, Construction and Building Materials, and Energy & Fuels. Her work has contributed to fundamental understanding of biomolecular interactions, nanostructured materials, and computational design principles, with translational applications in medicine and materials science.
