Founded in 1995, the Hampton University School of Engineering, Architecture and Aviation prepares professionals to meet the challenges of the global marketplace in the built environment, transportation, and technology.
Students receive a strong general education background in and out of the classroom, and matriculate more aware of their social responsibilities to the community. As professionals, School of Engineering and Technology alumni go on to appreciate the importance of continual development and lifelong learning.
The School emphasizes open-ended problem solving in all its programs. Preparing a workforce that will create the ideas of the future, which will be applied to improve society. The intimate class setting allows faculty members and students to relate on multidisciplinary scholarly and teaching interests that include catalysis, robotics, innovative design and development, reverse engineering, historic preservation, nanotechnology, fuel cells, city planning, sensors, energy, transportation, and kinetic structures.
