Student Study Abroad Opportunities
The curricula of Political Science, History, and International Studies majors are structured to encourage and support study abroad opportunities. Whether students choose faculty-led travel, prestigious international scholarships or established educational companies that facilitate their study abroad ambitions, the department works closely with Hampton University’s International Office to ensure student safety and academic rigor. Students interested in study abroad must meeting with their departmental advisor and the department chairperson as soon as possible to help ensure that the date, extent, and content of the study abroad experience work in harmony with the student’s required curriculum in the major. Failure to plan appropriately or to achieve academic proficiency while studying abroad can delay graduation.
