International Travel Studio – Italy 2025
Third-year architecture students participated in an immersive Urban Studies Travel Studio in Genoa, Italy, where they engaged with the rich blend of historic cityscapes and contemporary urban design. Students explored modern advancements transforming public spaces and infrastructure across Genoa, Venice, Rome, and Milan. This study abroad experience brought their academic studies to life, offering firsthand insight into the architectural and urban challenges shaping some of Italy’s most iconic cities. Beyond touring historic sites and contemporary projects, students sketched on location, conducted urban analyses, and had meaningful conversations with local architects and planners. By the end of the trip, students walked away with a deeper understanding of global architecture—and a fresh perspective on how design can create more sustainable, inclusive communities.
