Dr. Bekele received a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University, Greensboro, NC, in 2023; an MSc. in Telecommunication Networks Engineering from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, in December 2018; and a BSc. in Electrical Engineering from Arba Minch University, Arba Minch, Ethiopia, in July 2007. Before he joined the ECE faculty in Fall 2023, he had worked as a graduate research assistant at ADEPT Lab in NCA&T, as a senior engineer and project manager at Ethio Telecom in Ethiopia, and in various technical and management positions. Currently he is teaching courses related to his research area and is working on different research projects on cyber-physical system security and reliable computing. Dr. Bekele is a member of different professional associations, including NSBE and IEEE.
