MS in Engineering Entrepreneurship

Launch ideas. Build ventures. Lead innovation.

Hampton University’s School of Engineering, Architecture & Aviation (SEAA) is introducing a practice-driven Master of Science in Engineering Entrepreneurship that blends rigorous engineering with venture creation, product management, IP strategy, and platform-economy thinking. Graduates learn to turn technical breakthroughs into real products, startups, and innovation programs in high-growth domains like AI, cybersecurity, IoT, and smart systems.

Why this program — and why now?

  • Engineer + Entrepreneur: Close the gap between technical skill and business leadership with courses in design thinking, venture operations, IP, and project management—delivered in an experiential format.
  • PEAR Integration: As a child program under Northeastern University’s NSF-NRT PEAR initiative (Platform for Exchange and Allocation of Resources), students gain exposure to the platform economy, ethics, and policy, with a cross-institution experience and a dedicated course in Fundamentals of the Platform Economy.
  • Pioneer at HBCUs: Hampton University positions SEAA as a first-mover among HBCUs offering an engineering graduate program in entrepreneurship, expanding graduate pathways and regional innovation capacity.
