MS - MARINE AND ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCES

Are you ready to embark in a research-immersive journey?

The MS in Marine and Environmental Sciences program delivers a research-intensive experience to students. Our two-year curriculum was intentionally designed to create an immersive journey into research so students can acquire the critical-thinking and problem-solving skills needed for pursuing doctoral programs or professional appointments in the fields of Marine Biology and Environmental Science. In the curriculum, core courses provide students with a strong background in marine ecology, data analysis, fisheries biology, while special topic electives allow for the exploration of marine policy, community ecology, and marine mammal biology.

We strive to offer all accepted students a full funding package, obtained via external grant funds to our faculty and formal training programs, such as the NOAA Living Marine Resources Cooperative Science Center (NOAA LMRCSC). This collective effort is central to our mission of providing students with protected time for research.
